Race day! All those miles have been about getting us in the best shape for right now. The intersting truth is that I'm not going to feel this fit, powerful, skilled and well rested for another 328 days or so. |

We’re getting close to the finals now. Even more so for some of the other boats in our team who race their finals tomorrow and Friday. The atmosphere in the team has already changed to reflect the most exciting part of the season. |

I’m sitting in my hotel room and looking over the course here in Bled. It is absolutely stunning . The 2000m (plus a bit) natural lake is surrounded tree-covered hills, which are again surrounded by the mountainous Triglav national park. |

This morning, the open weight men's team will fly to Zurich and drive (in 2 hours and 46 minutes - I usualy run/win the sweepstake) to a log cabin in the heart of the Austrian Alps. I can't wait to get there and leave everything behind. I'll post some photographs while I'm there - but might be too tired to type. |
