With the first World Cup in Bled, Slovenia behind us I can safely say that this years men’s coxless pair has encountered more than it’s fair share of punditry from the media. |

After a long two week training camp in Varese, Italy and a short trip to Belgium for the final trials I am so happy to be at home again. It always feels like a long time away over the trials period. There is an obvious tension in the team that only happens when we have to race each other and it's nice to have that behind me. |

Wind and rain in Portugal |

We came out to Portugal for the first time exactly one year ago. I was a long way from being race fit after a short post Olympic break and it was the national team’s first big-boat rowing camp of the season. The weather was perfect, with glass flat water and a cool, bright sunshine. |
