| The rowing will be held at the Shunyi Olympic Rowing-Canoeing Park at Mapo Village in the Shunyi District of Beijing. The venue opened on 28th July 2007. Water is the inspiration for the park design, which includes boat-shaped stands, oars on bridges and wave-shaped roofs. It will also be the venue for the canoe/kayak (flat-water and slalom) and marathon swimming. View a BBC flyby video of the venue. |
