On Saturday 11th October the Olympic rowing team were welcomed back to Leander Club in Henley to celebrate the team's success with Leander club members and Henley residents.
The day was fantastic - we started the day with a reception at the River and Rowing Museum, followed by a row-by from all the boats in front of the Club and then an open top bus ride of the town. We had a fantastic lunch with local schoolchildren and the Mayor in the Town Hall and then finished the day back at the Club with speeches. All in all a fantastic day - thanks to everyone who came out to support us. |
