Happy New Year! Looking back, 2008 was a great year for me personally and it ended on a fantastic note when I received an MBE in the Queen’s New Years Honours List – I feel so proud and pleased to have received it. A lot of people have asked what the reception was like, but don’t go to the Palace for a while yet.
This week, we go away to South Africa for another heavy work camp. We’ll be riding bikes, on ergos and lifting weights for most of the daylight hours I expect! After the cold conditions this last week, I’m looking forward to a bit of warmth and missing out a couple of dark winter weeks, but most of all getting back into the routine of being away with the squad guys and all the training and fun that goes with it.
