Steve Williams and I are pleased to be part of an auction prize to raise money for Children In Need. On Monday 10th November at 8:00-8:30am Terry Wogan will be auctioning a Rowing for Gold package as part of his 'Money Can't Buy' auction.
The package is for two people to spend the day rowing with Steve and I at the Leander Club. We will teach the winners the basics of rowing on indoor machines in the club gym before going out on the water, where we will row in a coxless four down Henley Reach, the site of the Royal Regatta.
Following the row the winners will have a tour of the clubhouse followed by lunch with Steve and I in the Leander Club dining room. Then, come the annual Oxford and Cambridge Boat Race in the Spring, the winners will be welcomed onto sponsor Xchanging's following launch to witness the two crews battle it out in front of thousands of cheering supporters along the banks of the Thames.
The day will include lunch beforehand, the Race itself with drinks on board, the prize-giving and champagne reception post race. |
